When does the "my position" icon appear?

Hi,
i have a problem with the "my Position" Icon on the map.
I can't see when this Icon appears. Mostly the icon is not shown so i can't go to my Position.
sometimes i get the error, that m:geo can't get information from the maaloo Server.

I can't see any systematic for this. the GPS is enabled.

any ideas?

the GPS position/accuration must be better than 50m.

With the last version i have seen also the problem that the gps-button is coming a way to late.. pulled out the handy with running maaloo while maaloo is recording the track - going to the card - no track, no current position... hmmm i moved then the card several times in one direction and voila - the gps-button shows up. Because maaloo was tracking i guess, that the GPS position was better then 50m.
